The Spanish term Banda Sonora Tropical literally translates to Tropical Soundtrack. Ardeña’s aesthetic research evolves around the notion of the tropical, but the show doesn’t force the viewer to think. With this title, the public is put into the energy and mindset of the artworks — as they commute, cook, shower, work out, it is put on that playlist and they focus on the task; Each painting is framed as a possible song that gives off an energy, not to be understood.
